In this article, I am going to show you how to install VMware tools on Ubuntu/Debian VMware virtual machines.
In this guide I’ll walk through the steps of installing VCSA 6.5 using the Windows GUI install. If VMware Tools is installed on a virtual machine (VM), it will report back to the VMware hypervisor it’s IP address and many more information such as CPU usage, disk usage, memory usage etc. The VCSA 6.5 ISO offers two types of installation methods, CLI and GUI install both availalbe for Windows, Mac and Linux machines.
